ASUS Recovery partition

    This does not look good. I think i lost the recovery partition. I have the same laptop. I will post a pic of that which does have the recovery partition but unassigned as you've mentioned. Saltgrass bro can you confirm that recovery partition is out? If yes, all I want now is to make a USB or DVD which can be used to reinstall the windows 8.1 that I have currently installed incase I want to format the laptop or something.

    When I create a recovery disk what can it be used for?

    I agree, there does not seem to be a Recovery Partition present.

    Those things are not easy to remove, unless you did that when you created the Recovery Drive, which is an option.

    If the system did not come with a Recovery Image Partition, perhaps you were given some external media that contains an image.

    The system is also a Legacy configuration, so it would seem Windows 8 was not pre-installed, so you probably would not have a Recovery Image.

    If you do not have the Recovery DVD you may be able to order it for a nominal fee.
