Can I install windows 8 on a Core 2 Duo with 1.24 GB or RAM but without a video card and from a Windows XP Professional Home Edition?

Yes for XP, but only user accounts and files will be transferred over to Windows 8. XP settings and installed programs will not.

Windows 8 Consumer Preview System Requirements
Windows Consumer Preview works great on the same hardware that powers Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or fasterRAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)

Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

Graphics card: MicrosoftDirectX 9 graphics device or higher

Additional requirements to use certain features:

  • To use touch, you need a tablet or a monitor that supports multitouch.
  • To access the Windows Store and to download and run apps, you need an active Internet connection and a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768.

I had installed windows 8 on my pc with a video card, now I am planning to install windows 8 on another pc without a video card. so Its still okey to continue? This computer has Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelarator on it.
