Hi All,

Windows 7 was having feature in which if we want to install any software it can be installed as older version modes XP,2000 etc.). Is there something similar in 8.1?

Appreciate your input!

Thanks! But this is running Windows XP on 8.1, I just want to install some software in XP Mode, do I have to go to Virtualization for that? No straight forward way like Windows 7?

Windows XP Mode is a Virtual Machine, you install the XP Mode file then install the second downloaded file inside it. The second file is a special version of WinXP.

Then you can install and run some of the older programs.

An issue with installing older programs exists with the 64-bit version of WinVista, Win7, Win8 and Win8.1, some won't work.
