Problems installing the Samsung Series 7 Tablet Accelerometer drivers

Update (March 10) - This seems to be a problem others have had, but no solutions yet. See the Microsoft Forum post...

I have had some difficulty installing the drivers for the automatic rotation function for the Samsung Series 7. It worked fine with the developer preview, but I did a clean install of the Consumer preview, and I am no longer able to install it.

I downloaded the windows 7 drivers (Motion_Sensor_1.7.9.7) and ran using the Windows 7 compatibility. The software appeared to instal, but the device manager shows that it is not working, and the status indicates that Windows cannot load the drivers required.

To make this a bit more mysterious, I can't uninstall the drivers since the uninstall program kicks off an error that the program cannot run because it is awaiting a reboot. I have rebooted several times, but this does not appear to be a real issue.

My question is if anyone has encountered this sort of trouble, and what work-arounds might have worked. The other question is whether there is a particular registry entry to look for to unlock the 'waiting for reboot' issue?

    Thanks for any help!

Hello all! I recently upgraded my Samsung Series 7 Ultra to the Windows 8.1 preview to check out it's new offerings. It's ok I suppose. Some positives and some negatives. Anyway on to my point: So with the update came some unwanted changes. It seems to have disabled most of my func keys on...
Hi and thanks for reading. I have a Samsung Series 5 Ultra Touch. The other day, for reasons unknown, it would start up into the auto repair process. It would "diagnose PC" then "repairing", warning that might take a long time. Well after 24 hours I figured this was a dead end. I have been...
Struggling to figure this one out, the touch screen (capacitive) works under windows 7 fine, and also on the windows 8 installation pages but once it boots into windows 8 it doesn't work (although the pen works fine throughout all of it). I have tried installing windows 8 from scratch, fully...

I just got a Samsung Series 7 Slate off of Craigslist. I have already booted from a USB flash drive with Windows 8 64 bit. But I realize I don't want to just go ahead and install it without some advice from some others who have already been. First of all, do I do a full install of Windows 8, or...
