    Stuck on Windows 8.1 Evaluation

    Hello,
I've purchased my Lenovo Twist (came with w8.0) about a year ago and I've upgraded to windows 8.1 when it was released in the windows store. Months after I upgraded I ran into a few problems, I was unable to access apps on my metro screen. None of the solutions worked so my only choice was to refresh or reset. I've tried going into the recovery option on boot and the refresh option on the settings both said I needed installation media. I was unable to create a recovery media because the checkbox was grayed out on the "Create a Recovery Drive".
After doing some searching I decided to download the evaluation copy of windows 8.1. I extracted the Install.wim file and set it as my OS image on reagentc.exe. I was still unable to refresh because it said "The drive where windows is installed is locked". The reset option worked, after I completed the reset I was expecting it to bring me back to windows 8.1 instead I was on the evaluation version.

I also noticed that the F11 option on boot disappeared after the reset.
I am currently stuck, How can I fix this?

Reinstall windows with the correct install media. I'd see if Lenovo will sell you a set of recovery disks.

Have you made the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

    information   Information

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD. (Windows 8 only)
Recovery Drive - Create with USB Flash Drive in Windows 8
System Repair Disc - Create in Windows 8 (Windows 8 only)

I would recommend you making the OEM manufacturer's Recovery DVD's or USB drive.
    or
You can order the Microsoft official OEM Recovery disks from the OEM manufacturer's website.
You can Order Lenovo Recovery Disks from here:
    Lenovo Support - Home (US)
    Click on Parts & Accessories.

Is there any other way of solving this issue without ordering Recovery drives? Can I download windows 8 from any websites?

The key word being "unmodified". If you download something off of say bit torrent, you'll want to compare the MD5 hash codes with what Microsoft lists on TechNet or MSDN. If they match chances are it hasn't been modified or messed with. You can look up the hash codes and file info on TechNet without having to have a subscription, you just can't download from there without one.
There is this official download but it won't accept OEM keys. Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 ISO - Download or Create

It looks like MS has made a 90 day eval release of Windows 8 Enterprise that you can download and install right now even without a technet or MSDN or other for pay account. (Though you may need to sign up for a live account to get it). Read more here: Download Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation ...
