Error on installing Win7 in UEFI

I have tried installing Win 7 in UEFI on my old Asus K56JV Laptop.

I have used a tutorial by Brink to create the bootable usb.
The system can see it but after it has loaded, I get the following message:

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix problem

    1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart
    2. Choose your language setting and click next
    3. click "repair your computer"

    status 0xc0000225

What should I do from here?

I have tried to make the usb both manually and with rufus usb software.
The system does not currently run on UEFI, but it supports it, and I have changed it in BIOS.
Also I run Ubuntu in dual boot. I don't know if the GRUB interface does anything here, because the recovery
will not start either, though I believe it did so last time I formatted the laptop

Hope someone can point me in the right direction

    Thank you in advance

    Hi

If you disable UEFI mode in BIOS and enable the default 'Legacy" mode, can you boot and run currently installed version of Windows without issues ?.

don't want to hijack you thread, im just frustrated I'm trying for the first time to duel boot win8 [already installed ]and win7 ,on a uefi .will not let me install to partition I created ,try the rufus usb still no go.i will settle for removing all partitions and installing win7 by it self

#6 in the link you provided ,it will not let me delete the partitions ,I did deleted the acer recovery partition and one other, then win8 wouldn't boot ,I ran a repair and fixed that ,just want to install win7 and be done ,now I know why people get frustrated with win8 uefi ,oh the laptop is not mine

do you have ubuntu installed on your computer what os are you dual booting with if you have windows 8 and ubuntu installed and you want to install windows 7 you will have to uninstall ubuntu and install windows 7 and then reinstall ubuntu you must install all windows os first before installing linux as windows overwrites grub

You could try this - delete the partition you want to install Windows 7 on and leave it as unallocated space then start your W7 install and when you get to selecting custom install create a new partition in the unallocated space and install to that - hopefully it will.
