Does My Laptop Meet Requirements to Upgrade to Win 8?

I got an old gateway latop. I read that many old laptops can upgrade to Win 8 if the processor can support PAE, NX, and SSE2. Below is the link to my laptop's specs. Does my processor have this support?

Your Laptop Can Run Windows 8, in My Point of View. As long As You Have 1GB+ Ram. But You May Experience Some Programs That Tend To Crash. Here Are The Minimum Requirements :

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver

The system looks too old - Pentium 3 chipset ?. I would avoid installing "Windows 8" to such an old model even if it can barely run.

Hi, Anshad. Yes I know its old. But what do you think may happen if I install Win 8 on it given my specs? Heres a link to my specs as a reminder:

Performance will be affected for sure ( max RAM is 1256 MB - CPU power is too low ). Also you won't be able to run any program which requires video acceleration. You can try running the upgrade assistant and it will tell you whether it is possible to install 8.
