Windows 8 64-bit installed from the DVD without a hitch as a stand alone OS on a 160 GBs WD Scorpio HDD, i5 CPU, 4 GBs memory, 13" MacBook.
The Wi-Fi card is not detected, nor can Windows 8 find it when rescanning the hardware; it's probably an Apple Wi-Fi card, or just a driver issue.
The display quality is sub-par, when compared to the OS X display on the same MacBook, which is disappointing to say the least. The Intel HD Graphics 3000 is part of the i5 CPU; how hard it is to have the correct driver for the graphic card? The display also dims on its own, regardless how the display intensity is set.
Over all, OS X Lion has a much better display and while it is more responsive than Windows 8, the speed difference is due to the OCZ Vertex 3 SSD for the OS X.
