    Thanks for mentioning this.

It's just a matter of finding the right drivers (if they already exist).

Sadly, they don't exist yet D: Otherwise we wouldn't have this problem. Hopefully it's fixed in RTM.

You're right. But don't worry, the RTM will get more attention for driver development, that happened with each release.

7 saw beta drivers available right before the 7000 beta downloads were ready back in Dec. 2008! Just like they were slowwwwwww for Vista the same is being seen for 8 as well. You simply have to make what is available presently work if at all.

Check out Intels website. They released Win 8 beta Drivers for Intel HD2000/3000. They work well enough for beta drivers.

They still don't work on laptops, (you get a black screen at boot on some laptops) and Intel doesn't want to fix them until the official RTM comes out.

One day left now for that. August 15, 2012 is RTM day at MSDN and TechNet.

Speaking of beta drivers when getting the sound working on the two CP and RP 8s I went rechecked the drivers to see those were "7 beta" drivers released back in Dec. 2008 before the Jan. 31, 2009 public release of the 7000 build.

For desktops especially custom builds the drivers all work while each laptop ends up with some problem driver wise. And isn't limited to Intel driven models either. It's just like it was seen for Vista especially for the 64bit flavor when you waited for any to appear. OEMs were ssssslowwww... That may account for a good deal of the people abandoning the previous version when initially being discouraged while 7 was pushed by MS to see driver support ready in time. 8 is a step back to the same Vista drivers not found!
