Fast start up windows 8.1 dual boot windows 7

I read this article Windows 8's Fast Startup does not play well with dual-boot systems | gHacks Technology News . Is that true? Do I need to disable fast start up when dual booting windows 8 and windows 7 ? Please someone confirm this for me

You only need to do this if you want access to partitions that Win8 was using when you are booted into Win7. Win8 keeps its partitions mounted when hibernating, which will prevent Win7 from mounting those same partitions.
