Hi. I have problem with booting Windows 8 Customer Preview. I have Windows 7 at disk C, and Windows 8 at disk D. I tried to install from USB and after installing, it restarted automatically (as normal). After restart, it shows black screen at won't boot. I wait for 1 hour and still some black screen.

Sorry for bad English :)

Did you use the first page's download for the automatic setup which opts for usb install key with flash drive or creating an ISO image to burn to disk later or simply go to the second page and download the iso image directly and use another tool to write to the flash drive used?

Here I initially used both options but ended downloading the 64bit iso separately to burn to disk. While the two options both saw working results here you may have seen a bad or incomplete write to flash drive and will likely need to download the iso separately along with a little 3rd party help!

Here I made sure to unplug the 7 host drive first to allow for a stand alone install of the CP on a second drive. Once the installation went on I replugged the 7 drive back in and added a new boot entry for 7 into the 8 BCD store using the recent version of EasyBCD with instant results seeing 7 start whie the second drive was set as default.

To see the iso burned to dvd I opted to use the Passcape ISO Burner a recent find for creating USB Install Keys and writing other iso images to flash drives which can also burn images to disk. The free program has been quite reliable at writing to flash drives as well as burning to disk and works on the 64bit as well as 32bit Windows.
