Hello all
First time visitor, first time poster here;-)
I have an iMac running both mac osx Lion and a bootcamp partion with windows 7 as my primary OS. I was planning to go all in with Windows 8 consumer preview. Not to worry I cloned my windows partition and confirmed that it is working so I have backup in case anything goes awry.
Anyway, I was under the impression that upgrading windows 7 to 8 would allow me to choose to keep my programs, windows settings, user accounts and files yet I only get 2 options when trying to install windows 8; Keep user accounts and files or keep nothing. Am I missing something og doing something wrong? If I choose to keep user accounts and settings will my programs etc be deleted or am I able to retrieve them somehow?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
/Lars
