Hello!
I'm new here(obviously). Well, last week I bought a laptop(ASUS N56JR) with a 750gb hdd.
And today I went to Microcenter, saw a PNY XLR8 240gb SSD for $100 and bought it.
I used a cloning software EaseUS Todo Backup to clone my OS partition of the HDD to SSD(It's only 90GB worth of files). Also, I did a recovery disk which was 18GB to a USB HDD.
I flipped over the laptop, replaced the HDD for the cloned SSD and went to boot it up.
It took me straight to BIOS so i disabled Fast bootup and security bootup options. Save and Exit -> Restart. Plugged in my USB HDD which is now my recovery disk. It took me to a nice blue screen with options
Selected my language(English of course) and advanced options. Went to the startup fix option. It took around 1 minute only for it to tell me that it cannot fix my startup problems.
I have no idea what I did wrong? I plugged the usb hdd to my main computer and the bootup files are there. But somehow it cannot fix the booting up issue.
So, I went to pick another option which was "Refresh". But it told me that my ssd was locked and needed to unlock it first. I have ran out of options. I dont want to reinstall everything because i have a lot of adobe and Autodesk software that takes ages to download and the serial keys are volume plus theyre at work.
