What to know about installing

I grabbed the little 5mb exe installer for the consumer preview. If I run that and install win8 how will that work? Does it set it up to dual boot the system or what? I mean I have never installed any version of windows while IN windows lol. This has me scratching my head and wondering just how this is going to work.

Can anyone give me any info on what I should know about installing this I don't feel like fouling up my rig and reloading 7 at the moment if I make some mistake.

Cool that is all I needed to know. Dual boot it is! I just wanted to make sure it would give me that option or something. I wanted to go dual boot so I could continue using 7 till the release but still play with this as much as possible until then. If I didn't have a bunch of demanding projects going on I would probably go clean install though. The 7 beta was pretty damned smooth if you ask me. I have some faith after that experience. Almost everything worked and it was an easy ride all the way through release until now.

This is the Beta, nothing is coming anymore, bug fixes mostly. We are testing it, we decide (not) if it's okay to release in august (was it?)

Well that didn't go the way we thought. I got no option to choose. I got an install that pretty much did it's own thing. I can't get this machine to boot back into 7 now either even though I have a windows.old folder. Usually if that folder exists containing an old version of windows the bios won't hand of to either it asks what version of the OS you want to load up. Or did back in the day anyhow.

I can't remember what key to hit now to get back into 7. I wanted to pull up the list to boot safe mode etc but none of the keys are bringing that up for me.
