Solved Windows 8.1 problem

Hello just taken the jump from windows7 to windows8.1 bought a full version of the disk I have installed it on my ssd. Put in my second hdd and installed other stuff security and some programs and have come across the update and recovery section when your in the metro mode. I clicked on the refresh your pc button and says files missing next thing you know all my stuff gone. Once it finished install again and updates thought I would try again with the button and same again is this a problem with windows .8.1 or my disk cheers

Found the file but was wondering why windows is saying I have files missing when it is a clean install from 8.1 disk surely there should not be anything missing or is this just a Microsoft problem they need to fix thanks
