windows 8 or windows 8.1

at the moment im on windows 8 i am thinking of updating to 8.1 is it better to stay on windows 8 or update to 8.1 whats the pros and cons

How you do the update may factor into that? I did the update through the Store once and had issues. I ended up with intermittent WIFI and wireless keyboard and mouse issues. I've seen other similar reports from other forum members also. No such issues when doing a clean install though. I didn't like Metro in 8.0 but now its more multi monitor friendly in 8.1 so that's what I'm running. If your current Windows 8 install is an factory OEM install I'd recommend creating your recovery media, if you haven't already. The factory recovery utility may not work correctly after the update.

thanks for the advice Ive noticed here a lot of people with windows 8.1 seem to have a lot of problems my install is in factory O E M ill try and sort the recovery media thing out.
