Hello everyone i cannot boot my asus n82jv with a UEFI usb win7 64bit. It only says:

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix this prob:

1 insert your win installation disc and restart your computer.
2 choose your language settings and then clck next
    3 click repair your computer

    Status 0xc0000225

Info an unexpected error has occured.

Thank you so much! I will be waiting.

Try going into the bios and turning off "Secure Boot." Good luck.

As this a OEM manufacturer's PC with Pre-installed Windows 8?

    1) Downgrade to Windows 7.
Downgrade Windows 8 to Windows 7
Warning you must have the UEFI/BIOS firmware setting in Step Three set.

Make sure you read the NOTE at Step three.

    2) If Using a USB Pen drive on a PC with a UEFI BIOS.
USB Pen drive need to be formatted to FAT32 as in
UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows
Take note of Step 11 for Windows 7.
Also you will need to use a USB 2.0 port, as there are no USB 3.0 drivers in Windows 7.

You will need to buy Windows 7.

Hello after following this it still displays the same, cant install windows 7. Im using an asus n82jv.

Thank you theog i was reading your downgrade. The windows 8 was not preinstalled, i installed it myself. Plus there isnt any secure boot in my bios, so i gave to diregard the instructions there.

Plus there is a USB 3.0 controller setting, i selected EHCI mode and XHCI mode, still the same results. How can I make the ports 2.0?

    Thanks for replying
