Product Key - Find for Windows 8 If you have the correct install Media you won't need it though. Windows 8.1 ISO's will read and use the key automatically. The Dell Recovery media should too. Best Buy wouldn't know what the key was, neither would Dell. Not without running a utility to find it. The COA sticker won't list it either. For the most part you don't really need to know what it is.

Have you made the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

    information   Information

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD. (Windows 8 only)
Recovery Drive - Create with USB Flash Drive in Windows 8
System Repair Disc - Create in Windows 8 (Windows 8 only)

I would recommend you making the OEM manufacturer's Recovery DVD's or USB drive.
    or
You can order the Microsoft official OEM Recovery disks from the OEM manufacturer's website.

More detail on my situation: I have a new Dell 5537 comes with Windows 8.1. Day before, I tries to create a new partition in C: where is the the OS sits. After created an unallocated partition, I did not format it, but just restart my laptop. Then it won't start. Even I use its Recovery disks, it cannot recover my system. NOW, my Partition detail:
    1: ESP Total 500MB Free 494MB SYSTEM
    2. DIAGS Total 40MB Free 35MB PRIMARY
    3. Total 128MB Free 128MB MSR(RESERVE)
    4. Total 2GB Free 1.7GB RECOVERY
    5. Total 920.6GB Free 920.4GB PRIMARY
    6.PBR IMAGE Total 8.2GB Free 4.3GB RECOVERY

    5. Partition is where I have created a new partition but not format yet. Now I have a new Widnows 8.1 image file and tried to install in this partition, but it gave me an message: "WINDOWS CANNOT INSTALL, IT IS OF GPT PARTITION STYLE". Can anyone help me to solve this problem, so that I can install my new Windows 8.1 in this partition. Million THANK YOU.

Windows image? Image from where? Do you mean ISO? From the sounds like you are trying to restore a non-GPT image to a GPT partition.
