I tried the "fix" suggested in another thread (change the service "Windows Driver Foundation" to Automatic from Manual) and it works for awhile. However, I have made the change several times since the Event Warning comes back after a few days. Anybody got a way to make the "Automatic" stick. Windows 8.1 seems to have a need make it "Manual"!

It should be set to manual w/trigger so that is not the solution to your issue (whatever that is):

my2cents,
Attached is the Even Log warning when I set the service to Manual (Trigger Start). Like I said above the Automatic (Trigger Start) works for awhile (No Warning at boot time or wake from sleep) but somewhere somebody is setting the service back to Manual (Trigger Start). This does not seem to be an isolated problem with me, others have the Event Log Warning issue also. Anybody, need a little help finding who or what is the problem. I know it is a minor issue but I'm down to this last W8.1 Event Log entry at boot time.

Buy the way persistence pays off, I finally got rid of http://www.eightforums.com/performa...event-id-10016-errors-win-8-pro-64-bit-2.html. See post #16-19!

So, we just tend to disagree then, and with that said, I wish you luck. Also, I know about your persistence because I participated in a few of your previous issues with event logs and was am active contributor (along with others). However, in this case, I think you are on the wrong track, and since you have already demonstrated a need for additional assistance (at least twice before), I will just leave this thread in disagreement and wish you luck. However, agian I will say that you are taking the wrong approach to this issue (whatever that is). Good luck.
