Hi all, i just encountered this error as title when trying to clean install win8.1 pro vl downloaded from the repository thread
I've burn the iso using usb dvd tool to a usb drive. Formatted to win8 pro and instantly install from either within win8 using setup or boot from usb, all i got is the blue screen sad smiley face... :-/
Things i've tried
1. Disable windows firewall
2. Disable windows defender

Hope you guys can provide me some professional experience. Thanks

I have done a clean install of Windows 8.1 and everything works fine. I did not attempt to start anything from within Windows. I booted directly via my USB flash drive and the 8.1 install worked perfectly. That tells me that something went wrong in one of the following areas:

ISO download
ISO to USB conversion
USB boot issue

As you are using Company hardware & software have a word with the Company IT Administrator as you using the Windows 8.1 pro vl version
