Solved Phone activation - accidentally pressed on number 2

So today I realized I'm really a special case lol...

Anyway, I have the following issue. I have a legitimate Windows 8 Pro copy which was installed on my PC before I did a major hardware upgrade (MBO, CPU etc.). When I set everything together, I booted into my Win 8, and of course it was deactivated.

So, what I did next:

- I uninstalled the product key (with slmgr commands) so it wouldn't recognize it's still installed on that PC (if that has something to do with it)
- formatted my HDD in order to have a nice, clean installation
- reinstalled Windows 8
- entered the product key again
- started the Phone Activation

So I did EVERYTHING good, until the phone lady robot asked me on how much computers is this Windows 8 installed, and I somehow managed to press on "2".

Of course, the next thing that happened, phone lady robot told me my licence doesn't support 2 PCs, so I got angry on myself, ended the call and cursed a lot

When I tried to repeat the process, she told me that the activation didn't finish (or something) and that she'll connect me with a call agent.

Today was a holiday in Croatia, so MS support in Croatia was on day off.

So... what do I do? Do I have ANY options left in order to activate my Windows 8?

Can I call MS support in Monday, explain to them what happened and hopefully they'll help me activate my 8?

Thanks

YEP! Been there... done that! If I remember correctly, I think that a repeat of my process (and always selecting 1 thereafter) was successful; however, I can't remember if I tried to authenticate (a second time) via the same 800 number or used a different automated location. Anyway, you can try a different automated location, and if that does not work, I am sure MS will be able to help you. Good luck.

Thanks man. I'll try that tomorrow so I'll report back.

I bought the Windows 7 "Family Pack" here in the states a few years ago for $150--a 3-license retail package. So once I had to phone in an activation for some reason--probably upgraded motherboard, etc.--and when they asked me how many computers I was running the key on I said "Two" thinking I was in the clear. Lol! "No activation for you, bub!"...;) IIRC, I called right back and said "one" at the appropriate time and was activated! Those activation servers are really kind of dumb--Microsoft doesn't teach 'em well enough.

Had a brain amputation followed up by an all-lobe "clean-up" lobotomy last year, am doing fine. Life is so much simpler, now.
I'm never sure how to answer that How many question.

Reality is 0, since I'm installing with that key for the first time.
1 is also valid if you think it means How many, including this install.

I've used both 0 and 1 with success.
