Hey all. I have been having several problems with my laptop. Among them include a message box appearing, 5 actually, one on top of the other, saying something about not being able to run sysdll, I think. There are other things that are occurring that are making things a bit difficult to access or do.
As a result, I would like to reinstall Windows 8. I would like to do a clean reinstall. I obtained my legal copy of Windows 8 on the internet. When I installed it, I made what I thought was the appropriate disk, an ISO, needed if I crashed or something like that. In going through the advanced recovery options, I first tried to refresh my laptop. I was instructed to insert my "Windows Installation or Recovery Media" disk, which I did. I was told it was not valid. I then tried a reset, and once again got the not valid message.
So, now I'm at a quandary. I thought that the ISO disk I created was what I would use for this purpose but it appears it is not.
I am not very computer savvy and am getting both frustrated and concerned that any more things I try will really screw this puppy up. Can anyone suggest something or tell me what I'm doing incorrectly? I would like to get this baby fixed and I'm willing to wipe it all off to obtain that effect. Thanks.
