8.1 upgrade, local account: did I miss it?

Hi all!

I just wanted to know if the local account option was removed for the upgrade or did I just not see it. I read the options, backed up once to recheck, but it insisted I sign in to complete the install - after which my account was no longer local! Is this some sort of trickery?
Did they snare me in their evil cloud trap?
I think I can change it back in PC settings, but this seems kind of shady.

Now, one other question... maybe it doesn't belong here but - is it possible to change the skydrive server? That is, suppose I wanted to use a cloud - my home server - and have everything synced only to it but keep the integration with windows. Know what I mean?

Thanks

Go to Change PC Settings -> Accounts -> Click on disconnect account just below your Microsoft Account Name. It will ask for confirmation and then asks you to create a Local Account. Thats it.. I just did like that and my previous Windows 8 local account name was displayed. Working fine.

I found that when you get to the screen to login with your Microsoft Account, you can click on "Create an account" at the bottom. And on the next screen, you can leave the whole thing blank and then just click the link at the bottom to continue using your local account.

They really buried this one.
