    Install Win8 X64 impossible on Revodrive 3 X2

    Hi,

was installing Win8-X64 and when asked for a driver for my Revo, Win8 recognizes the OCZ driver but says that driver is no good.

OCZ does not have a driver yet. So i had to abort the installation.

Now i want to install Win8 on my Foremay SSD and i am prompted to give the activation code? Impossible to get past this, since i do not have one.....

Any ideas to get around this?

    thanks

    Jeff

Hello jeffrys, welcome to the forum.

This does not surprise me as I use OCZ SSD's and had a lot of problems on my initial install, must be an OCZ thing

Have a look here for the activation codes;http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/For...9-22ad6b28c55a

    Thanks Pooch

for the welcome and the info.

I hope to get my hands on the activation key since the one mentionned, apparantly is no good.

Also it should work on Win8-X64.

I do not understand why MS does not include a key since this is beta.

    best

    hi guys,

just posted this, but it does not appear, but in the wrong forum.....

If you look here : http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/For...9-22ad6b28c55a i asked and ask here : how do i overcome the question to activate Windows 8, since i do not have any activation key available.

It seems that when retrying to install Win8, files loaded at the first try are still somewhere on my computer, because way to fast i am asked to put in the activation key and no way to get around this.

Anyone knowing how to start from scratch, to avoid this screen.

    thanks

    Jeff

help in overcoming screen asking ACTIVATION KEY in Windos8-X64

    hi,

since installation of Win8 is not possible right now one a Revodrive 3 X2, and since i am asked for the activation key after a retry on another SSD, i would like help in overcoming this problem.

Can well be that the previous temporaly files are still somewhere on my pc, but if so i cannot find them to delete them.

Temporary files are loading way to fast, so it has to be this problem.

On MSDN: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/For...9-22ad6b28c55a i asked the same question in the hope someone can help me.

    Thanks

I am already trin for the 3d time to post, but nothing seems to load.
If the post appears more then once, i will delete them off course of maybe an administrator can do that.

    Sorry for this

Hello Jeff, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Step 8 in the tutorial below can help show you the Windows 8 key numbers to use as posted above.

    Reset Windows 8

If you need to manually change it, then the tutorial below will help show you how to. It's for Windows 7, but the process is the same.

    Hope this helps,
