When the user profile is located on another partition, when we try to upgrade the windows 8 pro, to windows 8.1, we are highly confined with only one option as "Nothing". ie. Clean and fresh install..
ie: All our desktop apps, personal files will be deleted.
One way to solve this problem is: put back user profiles to C: Drive and try to upgrade to 8.1. In such case, after the installation of 8.1, can we revert the user profile to D: or another drive?
Or any other method so that we continue to upgrade without back and froth switching of user profiles?
Or, will this issue be taken care when 8.1 is rolled out on Oct 17/18?
Regards
