Is it possible to create restore discs that return the PC back to factory state (just out of box, never turned on)? Thanks!

Have you made the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

I personally DO NOT RECOMMEND using this METHOD above, as of the ERRORS you may receive below with the Microsoft Recovery USB Drive.

I would recommend you making the OEM manufacturer's Recovery DVD's or USB drive.
or
You can order the Microsoft official OEM Recovery disks from the OEM manufacturer's website.
Essentio Recovery Software

The Recovery USB drive & Recovery Partition can be very problematic, I recommend you also make a Windows System Image.

That's my question. How to do it? The netbook is ASUS 1015E-DS01. I can't find any ASUS program that creates recovery discs. I can use Win 8 control panel to make system image but that's different.

You owner's manual should have the procedures for recovering a system back to factory condition. The newer devices seem to be using the Windows 8 Reset option which uses an image normally kept in a Recovery partition. Using that image to reinstall will take the system back to a factory state.

When you make a Recovery Drive, the link Theog gave you, it will copy that image to the flash drive if there is one. If your system uses a special OEM procedure for recovering, you need to follow those and use their recovery media or some media made with some special OEM utility.

Thank you! I searched the manual and couldn't find anything on the subject of creating OEM discs. I will try making a USB recovery drive.
