    Hi Larry
I have the free version so someone is asking that resembles me as I cannot use the forum with the free Macrium.

    If you are asking about verification I can only offer a suggestion;
click on restore tab then you should see your image selections and at the right it should say verify, delete, etc. let me know if that helps.

    Windows 8.1 upgrade

Works as advertised! just did it and yes it does work and same screen as you see in the boot process.
I wanted the forums and the support and the price was right so I purchased the standard version.

Could you ask the forum if the WinPE disc will work with both my older BIOS system as well as the newer UEFI?
In other words, should I make the WinPE disc for my older BIOS now and for the newer UEFI when I get it?
One disc for both or keep my Linux until I actually have the UEFI machine.
I would really love to get that answer.
    Thank you

    Hi Larry
I burned the WinPE 4.0 WADIK 64 bit disc.
1-Can it be used to recover older BIOS and also UEFI?
2-What can I expect when I insert this disc? Do I boot from F12 again to open the disc
    Thanks
    Peter

    1) WinPE x64 can be used with Legacy BIOS or UEFI/BIOS firmware.

    2) Boot the WinPE x64 from One Time Boot Menu. (your's F12)

    3) WinPE x64 will boot to the Windows 8 blue flag.

    4) Than to the software app.

Peter2 have you ever tried the windows 7 backup and recovery that is in the control panel? I just did the whole thing from backup to creating the image file to creating the rescue dvd. boots the same steps as I do with Macrium but from there you better know how some of the options in 8 get you to starting the restore.
    Macrium is much simpler.

    Congratulations and be secure.
I just verified 2 new images and put one on each of 2 external drives -over protected.
I ran sfc 1st and found some corrupted files which dism fixed.

Yes I have used that feature when I had Win 7 and now I have Win 8. If you do Win image with Win 8 it is no longer as easy as with Win 7 nor is the recovery as easy. Stick with Macrium or you will be in for a whole new project.

Yes, but isn't the means of creating them in Win 8 and 8.1 different and harder than Win 7?
