Okay first of all i have had windows 8 on my computer for quite a long time i installed it with a disk i bought from the store so it has a activation key etc. Yesterday it just shut down and wouldn't boot up, It now comes up with.
when i start my computer up it comes up with:
'Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key.'

~Note~ I wanna re-install windows 7 as im not liking windows 8 that much.

So i have a windows 7 disk and i insert it, And press any key, Then it brings up 'Windows is loading files...'
Then it loads with 'Starting Windows' , Then goes to 'Install Windows' Language to install: etc, I choose what i want.
& hit install now the select the operating system to restore (Pre activate Win7) then which type of installation you want? Upgrade or Custom (I cant do custom not enough room on partition).
When i hit upgrade i get,
'The computer started using the Windows installation disk. Remove the installation disc and restart your computer so that Windows starts normally. Then, insert the installation disc and restart the upgrade. (Do not select "Custom(advanced)" to perform an upgrade, "Custom(advanced)" installs a new copy of Windows and deletes your programs and settings).

So is there a way of deleting everything on the computer including 100% of the windows 8 so it clears everything to re install windows 7

If you boot from the DVD and use the Custom install option you will get the option to delete any partition you want to. Then create new ones and install Windows.
