windows 7 usb/dvd tool downloader help

the windows 7 usb/dvd tool will not recongnize my flashdrive. im trying to install windows 8 on my friends laptop but it will not work it says there is no compatible flashdrive in the computer

is it the flashdrive and how do i get it to work

i tired using a fat32 format on the flashdrive that did not work either

I would replace the USB Pen drive.
