    I sure would like to know how to do that. I've always lost non-Microsoft app installations. The best outcome is they get moved to .old folder but still have to re-install then copy back over.

    I've upgraded from 8 to 8 Pro and to 8 Pro with Media Center and not lost anything? All done though add features. I've also done the store update to 8.1 Pro with Media Center and didn't lose anything. I had issues with 8.1 though and ended up going back to 8.0, that required a clean install and reinstall of all my apps and programs.

I was using my dell inspiron 2330 earlier when it said it needed to reboot when it did this it started scanning and repairing drive c it did this 10 times when i managed to get into bios it gave me error code 2000-0142 i managed to log in but now my screen kept flashing then said hard drive error ...
Although it appears to work (screen dims briefly), there's no sign of any screenshot in Libraries, or indeed anywhere else. Is it broken, or is it just me? Doing it the 'old' way via MS Paint still works. Wenda.
Broken Tiles in Software and Apps
Win 8 has functioned during the 3 months or so I've been using it. However, recently when selecting on of the tiles on the main Start menu the tile logo will show full screen for a second or two then revert back to the Start menu without functioning.
