I recently built a PC and am running Windows 8 Professional Edition. The computer has an SSD which I installed Windows 8 to but the installation failed. When I tried to refresh the PC I had to refresh multiple times because the refresh failed two times at least and had to restart.
Upon refresh I installed a few programs and everything seems to be working fine. The computer belongs to a domain and unfortunately I think the last administrator has updates disabled by group policy so I am not able to get updates. Is there a way to download and install updates manually?
Also what should I do if the crashing continues? Is there a suggested course of action? Could there perhaps be some hardware problem?
