HELP!!! will i have to re install windows?

Hi

I recently bought a brand new pc with windows 8 (from John Lewis) already installed on it, however the motherboard and processor are being upgraded this weekend as they are not good enough for what i want it for, will i have to re install windows when i get it back? as i never got installation disks or anything like that, sorry for being dumb, just not clued up on these things lol

It probably will work initially but there will be some things that need to be changed. For one, MB drivers will have to be changed and windows to be re-registered because the license is tied to MB, it would be just like installing to a new computer. Before changing anything you should write down windows serial number and make sure you have all the drivers related to new MB. It would be also good idea to, if possible, have PC connected to internet at the time you switch it on first time so windows can pick new drivers.
