KasperSky Expired, Need Help Turning On Windows Defender

I bought the Vaio Tap around a month and a half ago and my 30 day installation of Kaspersky internet security has expired. I want to turn on Windows Defender now and I tried, but then it said something along the lines of checking my other apps update. I tried to uninstall Kaspersky but it won't let me. It says it first needs to be installed, which it already is. Anyways, I uploaded a screen pic so you can understand what I mean. How do I completely get rid of Kaspersky so I can turn on Windows 8?

Use a removal tool:

After that, maybe a restart, then you can try to enable Defender or it will be suggested by the system automatically.
Also, Windows Firewall will need to be enabled.

From Start button if installed, or on the Apps page, type defender and press Enter. That will open Windows Defender.
Same for Firewall, type firewall.
