How to delete windows xp without safe mode

hello guys
i recently installed windows xp , but now i cannot boot my previous windows ( w8 ) and now i want to delete windows xp so the problem may be solved

so is there anyway to delete windows xp without safe mode ? because when i run safe mode , it stuck on mup.sys and sometimes classpnp.sys

no i cant delete the whole partition because i have important files in it

is there any other way to delete xp without deleting the partition ?

Yes, you can format the partition.

Hi there
That won't necessarily work because the XP MBR / boot record might still exist on your HDD on sector 0 --- simple method is to save your files as previously suggested, then boot up a stand alone version of Partition Wizard or similar -- then totally wipe the disk and then create a new partition. This will fix any inconsistencies with the MBR on sector 0 of the HDD.

XP has a different boot mechanism to W7 and W8 (and W8.1).
