Night Bird, you need to create a bootable pendrive first, then extract the iso to the pendrive. How did you go about and what error are you getting?

It's size isn't greater than 4.7GB... so how did you end up with that file?

Oh, my bad. I'm not working with the dev tools, so I guess I forgot.
Well, presumably you would just create a bootable USB, extract the file contents on there, and away you go?
Night Bird, did you extra the ISO contents to the USB, or are you trying to run the ISO from the USB?
Also, we need more info than just "It gives an error". Please post the specific issue!

Had the same problem, I used Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool, worked like a charm.
You will later need to set your bios to boot from USB.

And you can usually do this by pressing either F1 or F8 at boot (I forget which as I don't do it much) and then go into the Boot or Startup tab. Then find the section for Boot Order and move the USB (will usually be identifiable by the brand or make) to the top of the list, and you should be able to save and restart, and boot into USB. Once the first stage of the installation is done and the system self-restarts, you then need to change back to HDD boot first.

    Hi there
    Forget all these "USB" tools

Just do it manually and it works 100% of the time

    How To make Bootable USB

Use the Command prompts shown - don't use the GUI or "Automated tools".

You can use the boot directory either from a W7 or the W8 data when you get to this stage :

    BOOTSECT.EXE/NT60 H:

after copying all the files set your boot menu iin the computer to boot from the USB drive - most computers give you the chance of selecting the boot device at power on.

Note also SAVE any existing data on the partition you want to install W8 on as it will WIPE it.

    Cheers

Don't use that program... just extract with your ZIP software (for example: WinZip, WinRAR), and copy ALL the contents to your flash drive of burn these installation files to your DVD. I also have the same problem too. Then how can I create it? I create it using the instruction I give you above.
