I have a workstation with 2 SSDs and I would like to set up a mirror (RAID1) with dynamic disks. This was very easy in MBR mode. Unfortunately I am in UEFI/EFI Mode and things are more difficult now.
I am looking into the Microsoft documentation but theirs is based on another operating systems (Windows Server?). So, they have a different number of partitions and sizes.
Could someone help me out with the settings for Windows 8. I'd like to mirror the drive and both should be bootable.
Problem: Microsoft documentation differs from Windows 8 default installation as I will show.
First things first:
The attachment shows the Windows installation in disk management console. All partition have been setup automatically during installation.
Secondly, the Microsoft documentation: "How to establish and boot to GPT mirrors on 64-bit Windows"
How to establish and boot to GPT mirrors on 64-bit Windows
Now, here things get tricky as Microsoft's disk configuration looks like this:
Windows 8's looks like this
For you see, not even the number of partition matches. Could someone help me with creating the bootable mirror please?
