My computer has 10.5 gigs free but the installer says i need 13gigs, can i just plug in a 4gig flash drive or something and would it be able to install like that?

What OS is currently installed on your hard drive?
What is the native size of your hard drive?
What are you trying to do (clean install, upgrade, dual-boot)?
What media are you using to attempt the install (CD, DVD, Flash Drive)?
