    No need to use bootsect if you used 7/8 diskpart to format the drive.

    ok, thanks for the support. I report back.

    Solved this way:
    1) with MinitoolPartition I defined the size of the primary and set it active
    2) With UltraIso, with 2 click, I generated the Iso from DVD and burned it on the Primary on the stick

    BUT oh, yes ..... BUT

    The destination laptop is ... a 2004 PC >>> NOT a 64 CPU
