Windows 8.1 won't install.

I have installed the file from Microsoft but when I reboot the computer after installing there's no download available in the Windows store. I have tried to re-install it twice, and the second time I changed my main language to English US, with no effect. Please help!

If your Windows 8 installed base language is different than from the available languages of the Windows 8.1 Preview, then you would have to use the ISO file in OPTION TWO of the tutorial below to install Windows 8.1 Preview instead. However, this would only "Keep your files" and not your apps or settings since your currently installed Windows 8 has a different base language. You might consider installing the Windows 8.1 Preview in a virtual machine or dual boot instead to preserve your current Windows 8 installation. This way you could upgrade your Windows 8 to the Windows 8.1 Final when it's released later this year without losing anything.
