Eight will not update after install

I am having serious issues. I installed windows 8 pro and here are the issues I am having.

Every time I install (Pro Disk) when it finishes and restats, it goes right back to the beginning of the install
Once I can get it installed, once the first screen spins, it stays black, but if I sleep and wake it, it goes right to the sign in screen-weird.

Then, it says no updates have been searched or ever installed, when I search I get the Error Code 80248007 cannot update.


Please help!

I get right in after I sleep/wake (from the black screen) and can do everything perfectly, but I shouldn't have to sleep and wake, it is not updating either!

When the computer loads & actually works, In Administrator command prompt Run :

sfc /scannow



When it gets done Run in Administrator command prompt :

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth




After DISM gets done REBOOT.

Then run sfc /scannow AGAIN.

Post back with results please.

As for Updating, make sure Windows Modules Installer is set to Manual.

To get to Services open Run & type in : services.msc & click OK.

Clean install. I am trying to "reset PC" option now, unfortunately it is taking hours.

It is still doing it. I emphasize though, I am on the laptop now, but after the initial spin up, nothing happens, I have to sleep it then wake it, and everything is fine. What in the world is going on?

Ok, thinkI found the issue. The IC data path test failed. I believe that means the motherboard is bad. Probably not a cheap fix
