Hello Windows 8 forums,

I was trying to refresh my current windows 8 image, but i wasn't able to since windows 8 was giving me error saying "hard drive is locked". I then did a stupid move and start up the windows 8 disic and try to deleted the partition that i wanted to refresh in the first place and i received an error saying " couldn't create new partition or locate existing one. For more information, see Setup log file" error message” while trying to install Windows 8. I then tried booting in command prompt and tried to clean the disk with "clean disk" command that MSDN recommended here " http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-windows_install/getting-an-error-couldnt-create-new-partition-or/e7fa4cc1-04ba-4aea-90f5-efc4da444eb3 ", but that didn't work. I then unplugged my two other hard drives and finally windows 8 would just let me install. For some reason i lost a partition that i had sensitive data on and i am wondering what is the best way to recover this partition and scan with advanced tools to find what ever i can to recover?

I have currently tried Recuva, undeleted 360, mini tool partition recovery, and now im not sure what else i can try. I might of reinstall windows 8 over this partition, but i don't think the sectors rewritten over just yet. Can any please help me?
