    Setup Product Key issues

    Hi guys,
I have quite a bad situation here.

My laptop (Asus K55N) originally came with Windows 8, a few months ago, I installed Windows 7 over 8, and now I want to revert to windows 8.

I downloaded the Windows 8 Setup file from Microsoft's website and it will not recognise my BIOS product key. I also have Windows Server 2012, which will recognise the BIOS product key but not install, obviously, because it's not valid.

My question really is How can I get my BIOS product key to install Windows 8 with the Microsoft Utility?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply.

I don't have any recovery disks or anything like that, and ASUS don't have any to give me.
I've already checked with them and I'm in quite a bad situation. They'll only replace Windows 7 disks for laptops that came installed with Windows 7, obviously not of any use to me, as mine came with Windows 8

Did you not make any type of Recovery?
If NO, do you have a mate with the same Make & Model as yours?

    Nope, no one at all.

The recovery partition was lost due to a hard drive crash, so I've got nothing except the Windows 8 Microsoft setup.

I know the product key is embedded in the BIOS, I just need to find it

I know, but I don't have a disk, I only have the program from Microsoft that downloads the ISO, but only when you put in a product key. I have no disk or physical copy, thus I need the product key to download it
