    Possible to run Windows 8 from usb stick?

    Is it possible to run Windows 8 from a usb stick?

    I understand it is possible to install Windows 8 from a usb stick, however is it possible to RUN Windows 8 from a usb stick?

    It's always been possible to run win7 from a usb stick.

    Not many have bothered - coz you need a big stick , and it's not great unless you have usb3.0.

    You could probably hack win7 down with vlite and use a smaller stick.
