storage spaces parity right?

set up parity with 6 3TB drives (2.7 TB) and end up with it looking like this... I though windows storage spaces took only one disk for parity?

From what I understand, this is correct - however, the screenshot seems to indicate some of this storage space has already been used. Is that the case? Did you partition this space up previously before starting the creation of a parity space on the volume?

Yeah, that's probably right. Storage spaces seems quite inefficient with disk space. I posted about this inefficientcy a while back.

nope none of it was used prior to this.. and yeah I actually read your thread parks but couldnt tell if this was a different issue
