    It's settled then, I'm going with Thunderbird!! Forgot Mozilla made an email client.

    Now my other questions- How do I delete that stupid extra user, and how can I revert back to just using a simple password (one that doesn't make me use numbers, symbols, or CAPS)??!! Better yet, can I by-pass having to log into the computer every time I turn on/wake up the computer all together?

    Thanks a lot guys, this really helps!!!

    You are very welcome. I would not login to an MS account. Use a local account (ties in with using iCloud from desktop--where another good alternative is My Yahoo from the desktop).

    You also can:

    1. Log On User Account Automatically at Windows 8 Startup;

    2. Local Account - Switch to in Windows 8;

    3. Password Protection on Wakeup - Enable or Disable in Windows 8; and

    4. Lock Screen - Enable or Disable in Windows 8.
