    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

Removed all OS on my ASUS laptop. Installed WCP already. Troublesome but manageable. Linuxmint 11 or Ubuntu 11 will follow for the dual boot.

    Windows 7 Home Premium x64 (tried Windows 8.1, non-starter)

I set mine up fresh from a DVD ISO on a Toshiba Satellite laptop (L755-S5258). Runs a LOT faster than 7, and makes more full use of multiple cores / better thread scheduling.

Only problem so far is, no OpenGL support whatsoever (hey, it's a Beta release), and complete system lockups with some Windows XP and 7 applications (which is to be expected).

GUI-wise, overall, it's Windows 7, but without the Start button, plus this Metro business. Takes some getting used to on a laptop.

In spite of that, I want it just because it's that much speedier than 7.

installed as a guest OS on W7 -- liked it so then installed on a small Acer aspire one Netbook runs brilliantly.

So the Poll answer is really installed as a VM --since had I not liked that I wouldn't have installed on a REAL machine.

    Cheers

    Windows 8 enterprise x64

I install it first in VM, then I install it in my House PC and I use Windows 7 in VMware WS to access my office domain. My office is also at home in a separated building.

Look at these poll results so far: only 2 out of the 133 users who responded to this poll have installed Windows 8 on tablet devices. Only 1.5%. Isn't that interesting! Maybe all it tells us is that tablet owners typically don't visit forums about operating systems, let alone respond to polls about them.

I wonder how closely this will reflect reality after the retail release finally hits the shelves.

    Windows 8 Enterprise 64-bit (7 Ult, Vista & XP in V-Box)

    Downloaded the Consumer Preview yesterday.....

Currently running the 32-bit version in VirtualBox on my Acer AS8951G (i7-2670QM with 8 gigs RAM and a 2 gig GeForce GT555M), running Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit. No probs except a USB issue I'll sort later.

Also running as a stand-alone on my Acer SA10 desktop (P4HT 2.8Ghz with 1 gig RAM, 256 mb GeForce 5700). No issues, and it flies compared to Vista on the same machine.

I still dislike the new interface and lack of a start menu, but at least Quick-Launch is still there....:-)
