    Windows 8 won't boot

    hello,

I've got a computer with widows 8. later I installed windows vista too. now, I want to remove vista, so I changed the boot drive to windows 8 with easyBCD, but now windows 8 won't boot. I get the following message:

    Windows Boot Manager
A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is singed incorrectly or damaged, or might be malicious software from a unknown source.
If you have a windows installation disk, insert the disc and restart your computer. Click “Repair your computer,” and then choose a recovery tool.
Otherwise, to start windows so you can investigate further, press the ENTER key to display the boot menu, press F8 for Advanced Boot Options., and select Last Known Good. If you understand why the digital signature cannot be verified and want to start Windows without this file, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.
    File: \Windows\system32\winlad.exe
    Status: 0xc0000428
Info: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file.
    ENTER=Continue ESC=Exit

When I power on my laptop, I see the vista dual-boot screen.

The following steps are available to fix windwos 8 won't boot
Step 1.One of the most important but usually be overlooked, check if the computer connect the power supply.

Step 2. Try to make sure there isn't a bootable CD or USB connect into your computer which sometimes lead to hard drive won't boot.

Step 3. If all above has been alright, we should take a ultimate solution to fix windows 8 boot error.

Since the normal file to be listed in a message like the one you show should be winload.exe not winlad.exe, I would suggest you run some type of bootable anti-virus.

Easier just to replace Vista bootmgr with 8 bootmgr.

Boot up something and copy it from win 8 partition ( It is in Windows\Boot\PCAT ) onto wherever the current bootmgr is ..

Perhaps the 8 dvd repair options will do it all for you.

I did say perhaps. I would do it manually.

Try using any boot media that you find easy to copy with. Not easy to see with regular windows re.

Perhaps something like File Transfer Wizard paragon rescue disc Download Paragon Rescue Kit Free Edition 11.0 Free - Don't wait for a disaster to strike! - Softpedia

Or midnight commander on Linux boot cd - or whatever else you have lying around.
