No Big Deal, but Curiosities on Dual-Boot Install

Used Acronis to restore a Win7 Ultimate image to my old HP laptop--the one I have been running Win8 Pro on. I had forgotten to deactivate a Photoshop installation earlier and wanted to do so.

Decided to do a Win7 Ultimate/Win8 Pro dual boot just for the heck of it using an upgrade DVD. FYI, the Win7 I used is not the qualifying OS I forfeited in the first place when I clean installed Win8 with the upgrade DVD.

Anyway, to do the dual boot, I shrunk the Win7 partition--which left the newly created partition with only unallocated space. I used custom installation, of course. When done, I was surprised to find that the 350 MB system reserved partition had not been created. No big deal, of course, but is this result to have been expected given what I did?

The dual boot works just right. At this point, I am simply choosing with OS to boot to on each startup--which doesn't happen often. Win8 bootloader is smoooooth. It's kind of fun seeing Aero on the old lappy again.

Thanks. Yes, agreed, it is not a problem. But, I would have expected the partition to have been created given that I started with unallocated space. Any thoughts? I am just trying to understand why the partition was not created given what I did.
