I have installed win7 on C: \ partition and created another for Win8, partition G: \ I can not complete installation of Win8. Sometimes the screen to choose the boot appears, sometimes do'nt. When it appears, if I choose win7 it goes well, but if I choose Win8 comes only a black screen with the Mouse cursor.

My system is: ASUS M5A7BL LE, Phenom II CPU with 4 cores, 4G RAM
I Have checked the Hash, recorded two DVDs (just in case) and nothing works. But installed inside VMWare Win8 works fine

Suggestions, please?
:(

Post a screen shot of a full screen Disk Management window please.

To open Disk Management, press Windows key+r, type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter or click GO. Make it full screen.

See here: How to Use the Snipping Tool in Vista - Vista Forums (says it's for Vista but also works with Win 7/8).

Once you have the image saved, start a new reply, click on Go Advanced.
Click on the Paperclip Icon next to the Smiley Icon.
In the Manage Attachments window, click Browse and navigate to where you saved the image and select it.
Click the Upload button.
Close the Manage Attachments window.
Click on the Paperclip Icon again and select the image you uploaded. It will be placed in your post.

Check on services.msc
Make Sure Virtual Disk Service is not disable (must be on Manual or Automatic)

Virtual Disk is activated. Video driver is updated to Vista/Win7/Win8, all 64b (my case). Prior to any new attempt, are your orders enought?...
See new picture, please

Ok, jaca. You're making headway. Unfornately I don't speak your language (Portuguese?), so I don't feel I can help. Good luck.

I have Win8 installed from within win7, but the results are the same. At a time when the Win8 boot screen appeared, I chose win7 as default OS. I chose win8 from there, and sent into Win8 Update . It also did not help, but win8 is there, in the partition G, I just have no way to use it. I noticed that my name does not appear as User, only Public User.

Well...it's the end for now:cry:

I am ashamed! Win8 was installed! Here's what happened: I set up dual monitors, but the auxiliary was off. So when the black screen appeared on the main monitor, in fact things were hurrying in the other. It was just plug and ... voilà!:eek::eek:

Meanwhile, can't open any app, so it is said that my resolution must be higher than 1024. I'm using 1280...

Make sure you are using 1280x768 instead of HD 1280x720 on your monitor
