Bios & Windows 8

I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 before I realized I should have upgraded my bios. HP does not seem to have an bios upgrade for Windows 8 (only Windows 7). I'm not sure where this leaves me. Can I use the Windows 7 bios upgrade from HP with Windows 8 installed?
My computer is: HP dv7-2277cl with an ATI Mobility HD 4650 (WDDM v1.1)

Well, I really don't know because I'm just learning windows 8 so I can't be sure everything is alright. There are so many features I haven't got to and I don't know what the update does but assume it fixed something.

Are you experiencing any BSOD's, system crashing or anything of that nature. If not then I wouldn't worry about the BIOS version update. Just have fun exploring windows 8.

well, I did have one system crash, but nothing else that i'm aware of.

Check out the HP site and read the release notes by the BIOS upgrade. If anything on that list is something you need to be fixed you might want to perform a BIOS upgrade. Otherwise.... don't bother
